CoHST Experiential Learning Opportunities
CoHST Exploration Trips with CoHST Student Associations
These trips are planned, managed, and conducted by the College's three Student Associations: the Hospitality and Tourism Student Association, the Sport Management Association, and the NU student chapter of the Club Management Association of America.
CoHST Immersion Trips with Faculty or Staff
Each year, CoHST faculty and staff plan and conduct work experience immersion trips tied to tourism destinations or specific large-scale events.
Current and past trips include immersions at the North Carolina Convention and Visitors Bureau, at the NFL's Super Bowl, Major League Baseball Spring Training, and NCAA Championship events.
Students gain valuable experience while earning course credit.
CoHST WNY Practicum Program
CoHST students do not need to go out of town to gain valuable work experience.
The CoHST Practicum Program offers students the opportunity to work at local hospitality, sport, and tourism events alongside other students and under the guidance of CoHST faculty and staff.
The purpose of the CoHST WNY Practicum Program is to help students build their resumes with introductory work experiences that prepare them for the Immersion or Internship Match programs.
CoHST Internship Match Program
The goal of the internship match program in the College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management (CoHST) is to match students with internship, work, and volunteer opportunities.
The program focuses on summer internships and is updated regularly from December through April.
